 Shweshwe fabric needs to be washed prior to working with it, to remove the protective starch layer. Starch is applied to preserve the fabric according to the traditional process. That same manufacturing process is  still followed today to give you a great vibrant and long lasting fabric. 

• Wash separately
• No need to add any detergents
• 40 degree cycle
• Do not tumble dry nor dry clean
• Warm iron
